A story of “Avira” Priam’s battles when she ventured on the Yoniverse Planetarium before she ended her reign:
The fishes swam with grace and freely glided through the water. They moved without restraint and with an aura of elegance evident in their movements. Oh, how wonderful it would be if I were to experience such freedom again. Which is why I’m stuck in a loop where I do not know whether to have the right to be covetous each time I glance at them dancing in the water.
But then, no one is to be blamed except for the foolishness that I have created out of my own action. A mistake that should have never been made and one that I don’t even know how I got the audacity to attempt of doing. One that should not be repeated again.
My mistake that is the very reflection of my greed.
Yes, I was clouded with the rapacity to take over the Oceanid Planetarium and purloin the throne as my own. I impulsively led myself to my own doom that is akin to the burning walls of hell. I greedily wanted to rule the kingdom of the Sirens just to feed on power, wealth and beauty.
I unknowingly succumbed myself to the darkness and now I’m locked up in a prison waiting for the judgement that the gods deem that is fitting to me.
As my eyes lingered on the fishes swimming beneath me in the prison wherein there is nothing but a pond and surrounded with pitch darkness, I suddenly heard footsteps nearing my prison. A girl? Yes. Young? Unsure. A prisoner? Impossible. They would not think of putting another prisoner with me knowing well what I could do with even just humming. They are aware of the fact that by just singing, I can manipulate anyone which is why the prison they put me in is unlike any other. But only one thing is certain, they are definitely headed straight to where I am.
And just on cue, a door appeared out of nowhere and there stood a girl looking straight at me, giving me the chance to meet her seemingly shallow and cold eyes.
Eyes with a stare that even sent a shiver down my spine and arouse a gnawing feeling within me. Is this perhaps fear? Unthinkable!
There is no way that someone like her can scare me for even the greatest general of the Oceanid Planetarium stood no chance against battling with me. But as our staring grows deeper and intense, the more the fear that has resided grew stronger thus causing me to look down, away from her calculating stares.
“The battle Siren, Nerissa.”
Upon hearing her uttering my name and title, I can’t help but look at her again, now with cautiousness and carefulness. Because it is as if any time that she wants, she can strike me down with just a move which causes me to be attentive to her while being wary.
“Once a great warrior of the Oceanic Planetarium, now known as the evil Siren who betrayed her own kingdom.”
I flinched hearing her list down all my achievements as a warrior and my sins as a criminal. Yes, I was an honorable warrior to my own kingdom but because of my treacherousness, I was banished from my position and now a filthy and traitorous criminal.
“…… Prisoner Nerissa, I have come to give you your verdict.”
As she finished her sentence, I suddenly felt weak all over my body causing me to fall. It burns. It hurts. I tried singing in order to free myself from the pain but it all came down to vain since it just worsened. I tried screaming but it felt like a sword just pierced through me. I can’t breathe. I can’t even move any part of my body without the immense pain surging in again. Help.
“The judgement that the gods gave you is that you will feel the burning of your body every minute, every second. You will feel massive pain, you will suffer to the point that you would wish you were dead.” Help. Help. Help.
“I, Avira, a warrior serving the Yoniverse galaxy, and with the power bestowed upon me by the gods, I banish you prisoner Nerissa to the fourth circle of hell where you will spend your life paying for your sins forever.”
Avira… Ah. That’s when the realization dawned, this girl was no simple, weak and timid young lady. She was after all the greatest warrior in the galaxy, the first ever Yonian hero known for her bravery and skills in the battlefield. She was beautiful but was also deadly.
With that, I already knew that this was the end for me and so I looked at the fishes one last time with envy and thought, “How lucky they are to be free.”
Then, she screamed and screamed, never being aware she’s the only one who can hear herself. She screamed, not knowing she will never be heard. She screamed immediately feeling the pain that I inflicted on her myself. She screamed one last time before finally vanishing into nothingness.
She screamed, ignorant of the truth that she already lost her voice.
As the echoes of her scream pierced through the once unwavering silence of the Yoniverse and then as how a domino falls one by one, the prison where there once held the menacing Siren that killed thousands and took over the Oceanid Planetarium, crumpled and was utterly destroyed.
The once warrior, the Siren named Nerissa whose skills were incomparable and a voice so pretty is now gone, no trace in the whole galaxy.
How pitiful, indeed.
