I was going to ask about the Yonian calendar, but it occurs to me that, as space explorers dispersed across many worlds, calendars are really dependent on / local to the a particular planet / solar system, right? For example, it takes Mars 687 days to orbit the sun, making a 687 day year, or 12 months of about 57 days each. All that to say, do the Yonians operate from a calendar based on their home world, or are they calendar agnostic?
I think there needs to be one yoniversal
Like we count years for nft drops
This is year 2
But I like that everyone has their own (ändrad)
That makes sence ^^
Maybe the yoniversal can be from the dominant species
I think we need to first define what the solar system is like around Yonius. Does it have more than 1 sun? Multiple moons? I think it would be kinda cool if the way Yonians keep track of time is completely different to our conventional way with calendars and clocks. This idea applies to Yonians living on Yonius: I was thinking in each village or city, the Yonians have a seer (or multiple depending on village or city size). These seers can be liken to seers in Viking villages. They know things the common Yonian doesn't, examine and read the environment and objects, can lend insight into the future and problems a receiving Yonian may have, and they observe the yalaxy above. Through this observation they create a "yalactic passage" which is inscribed on large canvas made from Yatadon skin. Rather than solely observing revolution of the sun as a means of timekeeping, seers look deep into the cosmos and record the movements of the entire Yoniverse which they inscribe on these skins which are copied and shared amongst Yonians. Their abilities come from them being able to shift into Ysmig freely and being close to Yomni and its knowledge. When in Ysmig, seers have learned to share knowledge with each other wherever they are, and this is how the yalactic passages maintain consistency across Yonius and other planets where there are seers. What do you think the Yonian seers should be called? Still need to describe the way in which Yonians measure their time in a way that us calendar users can understand
