Witches in Sumbios are well known to harness the power of the black sludge as a defense by foreseeing the future and if provoked, bringing punishment to those who deserve it. They are a quiet race residing in the Southern part of Sumbios where swamps of black sludge are rich however, thousands of years ago, two special witches became popular when they used the black sludge to see and watch other Yonnian planets – their name is Kha’l and Mah, the twins. Conjoined at birth, they struggled and faced many challenges but none of it ever stopped them in pursuing their magic to defend their race from hungry sludgeborn monsters and eventually see the Yonnian galaxy right in front of their own eyes.

​Kha’l has more control in transforming the black sludge into energy and using it against trespassers while Mah has more control of the sight and creating barriers. It is said that Mah was the one who inspired Kha’l to use the black sludge’s power to its full extent and discover its wonders as a defense mechanism to foresee possible attacks against Sumbios. Kha’l and Mah, so popular that even Tamara heard about them in the depths of the black sludge, the Lustful Terror then sent monsters up to the surface to recruit the Twins but to no avail, Kha’s and Mah only serve their kind and make no alliances with cunning and destructive sludgeborn monsters.
